The No. 13 Kentucky volleyball team continued its dominant run, sweeping LSU 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-18) on Sunday afternoon at Historic Memorial Coliseum. The Wildcats have now won 20 consecutive sets and extended their win streak to seven matches.
Senior setter Emma Grome orchestrated the offense with 33 assists, while middle blocker Jordyn Dailey posted an impressive .636 hitting percentage. As a team, Kentucky hit .297 and held LSU to a .189 hitting percentage, including just .100 in the final two sets.
Brooklyn DeLeye led the offense with 11 kills, extending her streak of double-digit kills to 19 straight matches. She also contributed four digs and two blocks. The Wildcats dominated the service game, recording nine aces, with Eleanor Beavin leading the way with three.
Kentucky’s defense was equally strong, out-blocking LSU and keeping the Tigers from gaining momentum. The Wildcats took control in the first set after an early LSU lead, winning it 25-22 with a key kill from DeLeye. In the second set, Kentucky seized control with a 25-15 victory, thanks in part to a service run from DeLeye and strong defensive play. The Wildcats closed out the match with a 25-18 win in the third set.
With the win, Kentucky improves to 16-7 overall and 10-2 in the SEC, maintaining a lead in the conference standings. LSU drops to 13-9 and 5-7 in the SEC.
Kentucky’s next match is Sunday, November 16, at 1:30 p.m. ET, when the Wildcats will host Georgia. The match will air live on SEC Network+ and the ESPN app, with tickets available at UKathletics.com/tickets.
