Caleb Wilson, a highly touted 6-foot-9 power forward ranked as the 4th-best at his position in the Class of 2025 and the top player from Georgia, has narrowed his list of college choices to five schools. Making the cut are:
• Kentucky Wildcats
• Tennessee Volunteers
• North Carolina Tar Heels
• Ohio State Buckeyes
• UCF Knights
Notably, Mark Pope’s Kentucky program survived the cut, while Arkansas Razorbacks were eliminated from consideration. This decision narrows the recruitment battle for one of the most sought-after prospects in the country.
Wilson is ranked as the 8th-best player in the country by 247Sports rankings and holds the 5th-best recruit spot in the 247Sports Composite rankings, which aggregate evaluations from multiple recruiting platforms. These rankings solidify his position as one of the elite prospects nationwide.
Wilson is expected to make his college decision soon but plans to wait until the college basketball season is underway to observe how programs perform and how teams respond to their coaches. He emphasized in a recent interview with KSR that his decision won’t be driven by NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities.
“I’m a guy who believes in God, and I hope he guides me into a decision that’s best for me. But I’m never going to make a decision straight off of money,” Wilson told Jack Pilgrim.
The Kentucky Wildcats, one of his final five schools, already boast a strong 2025 recruiting class, including Jaspher Johnson, a top-15 prospect, along with several high-quality 4-star recruits. Landing Wilson would further elevate Kentucky’s class, potentially making it one of the best in the nation.
