The Louisville Cardinals bounced back in dominant fashion Tuesday night with a decisive 100-68 win over the Bellarmine Knights at the Yum! Center. After a tough home loss to Tennessee, the Cards improved to 2-1 on the season, led by a standout performance from Terrence Edwards Jr., who tallied 26 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, shooting 4-for-7 from beyond the arc.
The Cardinals had strong offensive contributions across the board, with Kasean Pryor (21 points), Chucky Hepburn (16 points, 5 assists), J’Vonne Hadley (10 points), and James Scott (10 points, 8 rebounds) all reaching double figures. As a team, Louisville shot an impressive 54.3% from the field, including 12-of-35 from three-point range, while also collecting 36 rebounds and 15 assists.
Despite missing key rotation players Kader Traore (broken arm) and Koren Johnson (shoulder), Louisville looked sharp. Coach Pat Kelsey confirmed Traore would be sidelined for a few weeks, while Johnson’s return remains uncertain.
