Kentucky State Women’s Volleyball Aims to Improve SIAC Record at Upcoming Cluster

Kentucky State women’s volleyball will work to boost their Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) record, currently 5-6, at the SIAC Cluster hosted by Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, on October 25th and 26th.

The Thorobreds will face a tough challenge on Friday, October 25th, as they go up against the Spring Hill Badgers, who hold a perfect 12-0 conference record and are 14-7 overall this season. The match is set for 2:30 p.m. In their previous encounter on October 5th, Spring Hill swept Kentucky State in straight sets (3-0) with scores of 25-18, 25-11, and 25-12.

Later that day, the Thorobreds will play their second match at 5 p.m. against the Miles Golden Bears, who are 3-15 overall and 3-8 in SIAC play. Kentucky State came out on top in their last matchup with the Golden Bears on October 4th, winning 3-1.

The Thorobreds will wrap up the cluster on Saturday, October 26th, with a match against Tuskegee at 9 a.m. Tuskegee has a 7-10 overall record and a 4-8 mark in conference play. In their previous meeting on October 4th in Mobile, Alabama, Kentucky State won a closely contested 3-2 match against the Golden Tigers.

With this weekend’s SIAC Cluster, Kentucky State has an opportunity to improve their conference standing and build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
