Jerry Hazard is a respected radio personality with over 38 years of service in broadcasting and community leadership. Throughout his career, Jerry has been more than a voice on the airwaves, he has been a consistent pillar of service, compassion, and giving back.

Raised in a household rooted in faith, structure, and service, Jerry was deeply influenced by his parents, the late Winston and Hazel Hazard, whose lives were defined by philanthropy and love for community. They opened their home to children in need, supported education, and made significant contributions to ensure their family church could thrive. Their legacy is formally honored through a memorial at Watson Memorial Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, where their impact continues to be felt.

Jerry’s mother was involved in a civil rights coalition alongside Jesse Jackson, instilling in Jerry the values of justice, advocacy, and service, values he continues to live out today.

Professionally, Jerry has worked with multiple Louisville radio stations, created a widely followed podcast reaching more than 21 million listeners, and built a career grounded in excellence. Yet, he considers his most meaningful work to be off the microphone.

For more than three decades, Jerry has dedicated himself to serving families and children in Park Hill, an underserved housing community in Louisville facing long-standing challenges. Through nonprofit leadership, youth mentorship, and an annual toy drive spanning over 24 years, Jerry has consistently shown up where help is needed most.

Jerry often speaks of the eagle, a symbol of strength, endurance, and rising above adversity. In that same spirit, Jerry Hazard has spent his life lifting others and strengthening communities.
