It was boiling hot for Saturday of Championship Weekend at the Louisville Dirt Bowl so I stepped to a vendor table in Shawnee Park to get something for my belly and to quench my thirst and asked how much things cost and was told it was FREE! Of course that was music to my ears but was also shocking considering any other vendor might have been trying to make money since there were so many people out there for the event.
But not Chef Rich. He wanted to give back to his community by providing food and drink to everyone coming out to enjoy the annual basketball tournament. I thought that he should be commended for having such a giving spirit and asked him for an interview which he so graciously agreed to and hopefully this inspires someone else to do the same thing.
