A transfer from Baylor University, Gordon brings valuable experience, having played in 25 games with seven starts over the last two seasons. The rising redshirt junior tallied 64 tackles and three interceptions during his time with the Bears, showcasing his skills as a versatile and impactful defender.

In the 2024 season, Gordon ranked seventh on Baylor’s roster with 34 tackles and tied for the team lead in interceptions with three. His standout performances included a season-high five tackles in matchups against Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.

The Oklahoma City native also contributed significantly in 2023, appearing in 11 games with four starts. That season, he recorded 30 tackles, including one for a loss, and added four pass break-ups. Gordon’s highlights included six tackles against No. 12 Utah, a five-tackle performance with a tackle for loss at No. 25 Kansas State, and a season-best seven tackles against TCU.

A graduate of Putnam West High School, Gordon was a three-star recruit, ranked as the No. 16 player in Oklahoma and the No. 59 safety nationally by 247Sports. His athleticism and experience are expected to bolster Louisville’s secondary as the Cardinals prepare for the upcoming season under Coach Brohm’s leadership.

With Gordon’s addition, Louisville’s defense gains a proven playmaker ready to make an immediate impact on the field.
