Murray State women’s soccer is set to face off against the Chattanooga Mocs in an exhibition match on Thursday, August 8, at 5 p.m. CT at the UTC Sports Complex in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Racers’ 2024 roster is a blend of experience and fresh talent, featuring 17 returning players, six freshmen, and two transfers. The team is led by four captains: graduate Hailey Cole, senior Morgan Bodker, and juniors Tori Schrimpf and Mary Hardy.

This exhibition marks the second consecutive year that the Mocs and Racers have met in a preseason matchup. Last year’s exhibition at Cutchin Field in Murray, Kentucky, ended in a 1-1 draw, setting the stage for another competitive encounter this year.

Following the exhibition, Murray State will kick off the 2024 regular season with a game against Cincinnati on Thursday, August 15, at 6 p.m. CT. The Racers will then travel to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to take on SEMO on Sunday, August 18, at 6 p.m. CT, before returning home to host Xavier in their home opener on Thursday, August 22, at 4 p.m. CT.
