Hannah Richardson Returns to Lexington to Continue Professional Soccer Career

Hannah Richardson, a standout player for Kentucky women’s soccer from 2019-2022, is making a return to Lexington to further her professional soccer career. As announced by the club on Monday, Richardson has signed with Lexington Sporting Club as part of its inaugural USL Super League roster. The league’s first season is set to begin this August.

“I’m excited to be back in the city of Lexington,” Richardson said via a Lexington SC news release. “From playing soccer at UK and graduating here, Lexington has always meant a lot to me. I feel blessed to be part of this inaugural season and paving the way for young girls to be inspired to chase their dreams!”

Before joining Lexington SC, Richardson played for HB Koge, a top-flight club in Denmark, where she contributed to the team’s third-place finish in Denmark’s Elitedivision. The Bartlett, Illinois native is eager to bring her talent and experience back to Lexington, where she will continue to inspire and lead in her professional soccer career.
