Former Kentucky infielder Emilien Pitre has been honored with a place on the Canadian Baseball Network’s First-Team All-Canadian, solidifying his reputation as one of the premier Canadian college players. The CBN is recognized as the top authority on Canadian athletes in college baseball.
Hailing from Repentigny, Quebec, near Montreal, Pitre was named the top Canadian second baseman for his stellar performance last season. He posted a .301 batting average across 62 games, recording 72 hits, 31 extra-base hits, 58 RBI, 47 walks, and 26 stolen bases with an impressive .992 fielding percentage. Pitre’s overall performance yielded a .939 OPS.
Pitre was instrumental in leading Kentucky to its historic first College World Series appearance and an SEC Championship in 2024. His achievements also earned him Third-Team All-American honors from multiple publications, a spot on the All-SEC Defensive Team, and an Academic All-American title. He showcased his consistency and clutch performance with 23 multi-hit games, 16 multi-RBI games, and 24 two-out RBIs.
Entering the ninth season under head coach Nick Mingione, the Wildcats look to build on last year’s school-record 46-win season, which saw Kentucky claim the SEC regular season title and Mingione receive his second National Coach of the Year award in seven full seasons.
