Eastern Kentucky University’s men’s basketball team will play Clemson University for the first time in program history when the two teams meet on Nov. 12. The game will take place at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina, starting at 7 p.m.

The Tigers finished the previous season with a 24-12 overall record and 11-9 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Clemson made a strong showing in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Elite 8 after winning three games. Their tournament run included victories over New Mexico, No. 3 seed Baylor, and No. 2 seed Arizona before falling to Alabama by seven points in the quest for a Final Four spot.

Clemson returns 40.2 percent of its scoring from last season, including All-West Regional Team performers Chase Hunter and Ian Schieffelin. The Tigers bring back six scholarship players from last year’s team and have added four transfers and one freshman to the 2024-25 roster.

EKU won the 2023-24 Atlantic Sun Conference Regular Season Championship, marking the program’s first regular season conference title in 45 years. Head coach A.W. Hamilton was named the ASUN Coach of the Year and the NABC District III Coach of the Year, becoming the first coach in program history to earn conference coach of the year honors twice.
