Thomas More University NCAA Division II Transition Update

Thomas More University has entered its third year of provisional membership with the NCAA Division II in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). This move marks significant progress towards becoming a full NCAA Division II member.

During the 2023-24 school year, Thomas More:

  • Competed in the G-MAC with provisional Division II status, eligible for conference championships.
  • Achieved notable athletic successes, including 25 All-Conference athletes, 38 Academic All-District honorees, and 180 G-MAC Academic All-Conference selections.
  • Highlighted achievements in bowling with Maycie Merritt named co-bowler of the year and Alison McDonald earning the G-MAC Elite 26 Award.
  • Wrestling excelled with Daulton Mayer winning the G-MAC Championship and several wrestlers achieving All-American status.

Looking ahead:

  • The Saints are on track to compete for NCAA DII championships starting in the 2025-26 school year.
  • Significant investments have been made in athletic facilities, including renovations at Thomas More Stadium and acquisitions like the Northern Kentucky Racquet Club.
