University of Louisville defensive lineman Ashton Gillotte has been selected for the 2024 Walter Camp Preseason All-America teams, as announced on Monday afternoon.
Gillotte, a senior hailing from Boca Raton, Florida, garnered second team All-America honors from various outlets in 2023. He is coming off a standout season where he earned first team all-conference accolades and was the runner-up for the league’s Defensive Player of the Year award. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 275 pounds, Gillotte ranked ninth nationally with 11.0 sacks and registered 14.5 tackles for loss.
During his impressive campaign, Gillotte led defensive linemen with a career-high 45 tackles, highlighted by a seven-tackle performance against Virginia and a career-best 3.0 sacks against Boston College.
As Gillotte embarks on his final season, he boasts 22.0 career sacks and 30.5 tackles for loss, solidifying his impact on the Louisville defensive line.
