University of Louisville volleyball coach Dani Busboom Kelly, along with players Anna DeBeer and Elle Glock, met with local media on Tuesday afternoon at the Planet Fitness Kueber Center to preview the highly anticipated 2024 season as part of UofL’s Fall Sport Media Day.

- Dani Busboom Kelly: Entering her eighth season as head coach, Busboom Kelly has led the Cardinals to impressive heights, including two Final Four appearances, four Elite Eight finishes, and four ACC titles.
- 2023 Season Recap: The Cardinals had a stellar 27-5 record last season, achieving their highest national ranking of No. 2 and finishing with a final ranking of No. 6. UofL posted a 15-3 record in ACC play, securing third place. The team advanced to the Elite Eight for the fourth time, made their ninth trip to the Sweet Sixteen, and marked their 32nd appearance in the NCAA tournament.
- ACC Year-End Awards: Anna DeBeer was named ACC Player of the Year, while Elena Scott earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. DeBeer also received the AVCA East Region Player of the Year award. Additionally, Elle Glock, Charitie Luper, Aiko Jones, Cara Cresse, and Elena Scott were selected for the First Team All-ACC, with Phekran Kong earning Honorable Mention All-East Region.
- 2024 Roster: The Cardinals will return five starters along with their libero, setting the stage for another competitive season.
- ACC Preseason Poll: Louisville was picked to finish third in the ACC preseason poll, behind Pitt and Stanford. Players Cara Cresse, Anna DeBeer, Charitie Luper, and Elena Scott were named to the Preseason All-ACC team.
- Season Opener and Key Events: UofL will kick off the season by hosting the AVCA First Serve Showcase at the KFC Yum! Center, where they will face Wisconsin on August 27. The Cardinals will also host the 2024 NCAA Division I Volleyball Championship, scheduled for December 19 and 22.
