Alumna Kyndal Knight (Class of 2023) secured a silver medal at the 2024 USA Diving Winter National Championships in Bloomington, Indiana. Competing in the 3-meter synchronized final alongside her partner, Anna Kwong of Texas Christian University, Knight achieved a combined score of 497.70 points, marking the highest finish of her career in the event.
This accomplishment represents Knight’s second career medal from the Winter National Championships. A native of Stanley, North Carolina, she previously earned silver in 2019 with a second-place finish in the 1-meter final. Her consistent excellence at the Winter Nationals includes fourth-place finishes in the 3-meter synchronized final in both 2021 and 2023, as well as an eighth-place result in the 3-meter final in 2022.
Knight is one of the most decorated divers in Kentucky program history, with 10 All-America honors to her name and a past membership in the prestigious 2020 USA Diving High Performance Squad.
Tomorrow, Knight will return to action in the women’s 1-meter prelims and will look to advance to the final.
The 2024 USA Diving Winter National Championships are taking place December 11-15 at Indiana University’s Bloomington campus. Knight’s performance continues to showcase her excellence on the national stage and reinforces her legacy as one of Kentucky’s all-time greats.
